Saturday Mornings:
Most Saturday mornings
throughout the summer, Breah Johnson, a licensed massage therapist,
(Mitch & Mara's niece), will be offering massages at Shores
Lighthouse. To schedule massages:

May 23 - August 16:
At 10
locations around the lakeshore, SOLLYCers will find laminated
tickets. Each ticket is numbered to
identify the location it came from. At 1700 hours on
August 16, in the lodge or out front, a poker game will be
played. SOLLYCers will sit down at the table with up to
10 unique tickets they have gathered from around the
lake. Each player will submit 5 tickets and receive
a poker hand. The dealer will ask players around the table
if they would like to replace a playing card. This process
will continue until all at the table stay, or all players are
out of tickets. For

This is a fun, informal, 4-person scramble to benefit
the community center. Brunch and supper are included.

Friday & Saturday, August 1 and 2:
Friday night practice and dancing and then all day Saturday.
Carol Hallman is assembling a SOLLYC team to compete again this
year. SOLLYC boat needs 21 crew including the drummer and
an alternate. The cost per person is $31.00 plus the cost of
the shirt (about $15). Team fee must be paid by June 15th.

Saturday August 2:
Walker Bay Days is a family friendly festival at the Walker City
Park & Beach.

Chamber of Commerce requested the SOLLYC do a beer can race in
front of the City Park this afternoon - to add to the Walker
Bay Days Festivities. However, many SOLLYCers will be at the
Dragon Boat Festival (above). For those sailors on Leech
this day, please make a pass in front of the City Park, it adds
to the ambiance of the Walker Bay Days Festival.
Sunday August 3:
The regatta is August 9-11. August 3 is important because
the registration fee increases from $70 to $90. The
regatta is run by a committee of the SOLLYC. The regatta
has its own page on this website.
Saturday August 16:
Cards dealt at 1700 hours at lodge.
Saturday, August 23:
This is a new one the commodores came up with.

Labor Day Weekend:
Aug. 30: 1600 secret location, meeting to choose new
Commodores.
Aug. 30: Labor Day Potluck - 1800 Front of Lodge.
Annual SOLLYC Meeting and change of officers. All
Shores guests are invited to join the potluck.
Aug. 31: Annual Cruise to dinner and overnight anchorage TBD.

Only the commodores know for sure.

Ethnic Fest is a parade, concerts, lots of entertainment
and crafters on the streets of Walker.

After the 10K walk above - this is the perfect place to refresh.
Bring a snack and your favorite (or weird) micro beer to share

others. Shores will provide pizza and Corona Margaritas.
